The MC2 Citywide Math Festival is the place to be if you want to enjoy an afternoon of hands-on puzzles, games, brain teasers along with joy and surprises. Who knew math could be this much fun? And it’s free!
Math gets a bad reputation for being boring and hard to do. The math festival is proof that students and their parents have fun and enjoy the activities while doing math games. The parents who come to observe actually end up participating in the games and find that they have as much, if not more, fun than their own children.
Each May we heod our annual Spring Citywide Festival at Walter Payton High School, with more than 100 people attending every year. We decided to add a new annual fall festival, and we knew we had to hold it on the south side (we will eventually add a west side festival, of course).
Our new citywide festival will be held at MetroSquash in Woodlawn:
Festival Details:
Saturday, September 6th
1:00-2:30 PM
MetroSquash, 6100 S Cottage Grove Ave
Chicago, IL, 60637
Open to all 3rd - 8th graders!

Festivals are a great opportunity to learn what Math Circles are all about. The next step--fall Math Circles start just a week after the festival! Registration for our lottery opens on August 19th, and the fall session starts on 9/13.
